Earlier today, August 16, 2012, at around 10:10 a.m. a problem was experienced at the Seawell Generating Station resulting in outages affecting customers in several areas across the island.         

After isolating the problem, the restoration process started at around 10:30 a.m. and by 10:50 a.m. electricity supply was restored to the majority of customers.  Full restoration was completed around 11:50 a.m.

The Barbados Light & Power Company Limited wishes to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to its customers affected by the outage.
