Community Investments
More and more, we are focused on partnerships that will make our communities smarter too. By collaborating with a range of public and private-sector partners, we are helping to power a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, by supporting the leaders of tomorrow.

Tourism Development Corporation
The Tourism Development Corporation (TDC) functions as an excellent catalyst for tourism development in Barbados by directing member contributions in support of qualified, sustainable overseas marketing and on-island product enhancement initiatives, with the view to:
- Increase the awareness of Barbados as a quality tourism destination in major tourist markets; Increase visitor arrivals to the island, as well as on-island visitor spend, and improve the tourism product to maintain interest and enhance the visitor's experience.
- BLPC identifies as a partner in their Public Relations efforts. This funding supports events like Barbados Sol Motorsports Rally, the Barbados Sea Turtle Project, and the International Coastal Clean-up project.

Electricity and Renewable Energy Science Expo
Our partnership with the Media Resource Department has blossomed over the years, and we work with them to achieve several objectives. Light & Power sponsors the Electricity and Renewable Energy Science Exposition, and the School's Display at the Barbados Manufacturers' Expo. The partnership demonstrates our commitment to youth development in Barbados, by promoting growth and positive behaviour in young people. It also enables the Company to reach schools all across Barbados to celebrate creativity and scientific pursuits in our young people.

Crop Over (Foreday Morning Jam)
Crop Over is an important festival for the economy of Barbados and we are happy to partner with the Government, The National Cultural Foundation (NCF), other corporate sponsors and Barbadians to achieve its success. Our sponsorship of the 'Foreday Morning Jam' is based on 'safety' and providing lighting towers along the entire route of the event, making it safer for revelers.

Barbados National Trust (Morgan Lewis Refurbishment)
The Morgan Lewis Windmill, Barbados' last operational sugar windmill, has been transformed into a visitor's centre. The Windmill is a very popular stop for tourists and locals during scenic tours of the island. Light & Power was pleased to come on board and support the project, which highlights the country's history and educates the public on the progression of wind energy throughout the years.
